Bayou Lacombe Cardinals

We’re proud to announce our second recipient of the Just One Voice Scholarship, awarded in partnership with Palette Northshore!

Gerrin Narcisse, executive director of the Bayou Lacombe Cardinals, is doing amazing work with young men in our community. Using football as the draw, they are doing community service and receiving life and skills training to help them into their next step in life. Our First Recipient

We’re proud to introduce Julio Bermudez as the very first recipient of the Just One Voice Scholarship, awarded in partnership with Palette Northshore!

Julio is the founder of Raices Nuevas, a community-based organization dedicated to supporting Garifuna youth (ages 10–21) from Spanish-speaking countries as they settle into life in the United States. His work focuses on helping these young people integrate into their new communities by providing practical guidance, essential resources, and a strong sense of belonging during their first year in the U.S.

With plans to expand his impact to Louisiana’s Northshore, Julio is just getting started — and we’re honored to support him on this journey.
